Demag brake motors are simple, robust and reliable. Demag’s line of KB brake motors unique brake operating principle eliminates the need for separate control or additional switching elements due to the mechanical connection between the Demag brake and rotor. Demag conical-rotor brake motors have a long brake lining service life thanks to effective dissipation of heat generated by the brake (through large surface area of brake cover). In addition, Demag brake motors have a short overall length and good heat dissipation. Demag gearbox and Demag motor combinations with Demag coupling shaft end (Demag Z cylindrical-rotor motors or Demag KB conical-rotor brake motors) using intermediate flange and roller spider coupling.
Demag offers two brake disc designs on its Demag brake motors – light for Demag KBA motors, heavy – and with increased moment of inertia – for Demag KBF motors.
