The Binder Brakes AC line includes spring applied single-disc brakes which can be connected directly and without rectifier to an AC supply, e.g. in the motor connection box.
Due to its working principle the switching times of the Bindcer brake are significantly shorter than with comparable DC brakes. Electromagnetically operated spring applied Binder brakes build up the braking torque when the current is switched off.
